Watched the eoruvision song contest from start to finish and i am so happy Serbia won, it was my favourite song and soooooo glad that Ukraine never pipped them to win

**sigh of relief as brother really hated the Ukranian bum boy song**

The UK song was s**t at best and also embaressing to boot and if that was the best the Brits have to offer nowadays then even the few points they got was not deserved and should of got nil puan again imo.

Like the drums but can't remember which country that was and Turkeys song was O.K but surprised they got to number 4.

Russia was OK also and liked the sexy girls

***mrs brother clouts brother across the head***

So in all it was a decent night imo.

Cool

Perhaps troubled Cyprus Airways should hire the UK’s Eurovision band to launch a new worldwide advertising campaign. Who was it that said…“Bad publicity is better than no publicity!”?

That song was so bad i think no publicity is definately the better option in this case. Wink

I'm not surprised Mrs Bro punched your lights out! Those Russian girls were the combined age of a 2 day old donut from Krispy Kremes! I should imagine any votes from them came as a result of a few steamed up glasses from the male panel of judges who meant to vote for Serbia but due to their reduced eyesight at the time placed an "X" near Russia on their voting forms instead, R being so close to S in the alphabet and all that.....

However, I did catch my dear husband looking twice at the brunette in the red dress - Georgian entry I believe...there was no need for me to clout him over the head however.."the look" was enough for him to stand up rather sharpish and announce it was time to make coffee.. Laughing

Next time Mrs Bro and I will supervise the viewing arrangements more stringently. This way if one of us leaves the room the other has two hands free to clout you both round the head Wink

I have been watching Greek TV stations lately and oh man.. are THEY sore losers. Oh man.. the stuff they said about everyone else, especially the winner ( I think she was characterised at some point as a fat lesbian ugly faced duck ), it brings shame to them, which I am sure is a completely alien concept to these bickering chicken headed unemployed nobodies. Really, Greece didn't do so bad at all. 7th place is hardly something to cry for. I am sure other countries with better songs would have given multiple organs to get that place. But trust the Greeks not to be satisfied with something. All this conspiracy theories are utter bullcrap as Ms Paparizou managed to secure the first place despite all the alleged block-voting, ex-commi-hugging, political maneuvering eurovision pirates. If its really a song that would go to the top, it will.

On the other hand both the Cyprus tv as well as the Armenian tv was much milder. ( And you would think the Cypriots would have something to bitch about ). All they said that the young lady that represented her country felt very happy and made her country proud and we all wish that one day we can feel the same. Congrats.

Well, I somehow knew that Serbia was going to win and I am glad they did. A very good song, had it playing since some months now. There were many solid entries and I think the quality of the performers is increasing every year ( not to mention the quality of the hosts as well )

Except that blonde in the pink dress, i kept wishing something big and heavy would fall on her head that would forcefully bury her underground so we would never have to see her again. Wink Laughing

DreamM, I didn't quite realise just how serious some countries take this competition. Stooping low enough to character assinate the winner for being herself is awful.

LOL @ Bro, yes the woman in pink was annoying! As for being real men, of course you both are, real women do not accept anything less and you wouldn't know you were alive without a clout on the head every now and again from us Wink Shows how much we care, lol...

Terry Wogan (English commentator) was also in top form last night and said whenever he entered the hotel foyer it was always jammed packed with members of Sarbel's family...lol...My Big Fat Eurovision Debut!

Laughed out load when he said that...I bet he flew his whole family over from London, his yiayia must have been very proud...Wink

By the way, what was Timmy Mallet doing singing for the Ukraine? Shocked

Or maybe he wanted to sing for the UK but they thought his song wasn't cheesy or eccentric enough... Rolling Eyes Laughing

Oh and Russia...well evidently it's true what they say, sex really does sell... plain moon bash head

No no Brother, you've got it wrong, she wasn't an actual presenter, she was just some random lady they picked out the crowd, who's life long ambition happened to be to present the Eurovision song contest (How lucky for her, and what a surprise it must have been!) remember?... Rolling Eyes Laughing
