For the same reason we entered one in English last year...and cause we're dumb. Am I the only one that found the song catchy? |

Hey the Cypriot entry is really catchy!! I like it, but I am also intrigued as to why the song is sung in Le Francais too, then again it is the Eurovision, why the hell not! Look who won last year, if the cast of Tales of the Crypt can win then why not! Perhaps next year the Turkish entry could be sung in Cantonese and really shake things up?!!!

French is spoken officially in a few countries such as France, Belium, Luxemberg, Monaco and maybe a few other countries so we might get points from those countries, where English songs are performed in all countries so it doesn't make a big difference.

Oh man, does it get worse... From wiki:
Quote:
In 1999, the rule was changed again to allow freedom of language once more.[11] This linguistic freedom led to the Belgian entry in 2003, Sanomi, being sung in an entirely made-up language.[37] In 2006 the Dutch entry, Amambanda, was sung partly in English and partly in a fictitious language.[38]
