I'm moving to cyprus

Hi All,

I'm moving over to North Cyprus hopefully by June of next year, and although my family all come from there, there's loads I don't know.

We're so used to home comforts in London - but is there the equivlent there??

Do they have nail shops? Do they have decent hairdressers? Where do you go to buy a car?

Anyone know where I can go to get this information - or does anyone know???

Of course I've been to Cyprus, and yes, I have been to the North-side, but when you are on holiday for 2-3weeks you don't really think of those things. And as most of my friends in Cyprus are Cypriot (as in were born there) they look at me quite strangly when I talk of acrylic nails... and whether they use colouring cream or just bleach (which makes any girls hair frazzle!!!). I know this question may seem superfical, as no one around me knows the answers this forum seemed perfect for this kind of question.

So any kind of answer that may lead me the right way would be appreciated....

they do have what you are asking for. Maybe not the variety you are used to but a quick google brought up the North Cyprus Yellow Pages that answers for example your nail question Smile

For detailed info I suggest you make a list of what you would like to know and check it one by one next time you are there. I'm pretty sure you will be visiting the island before you make the move next year, no?

Also some of the members here, living in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, might be able to give more advise.

of course!!!! we love cyprus!

its just a case of if you don't ask you don't get!! it seems as if i've found a place that looks like it would do the nails... but its in girne! and i'll be in magosa!

hehehe i guess i'll have to do the trip every 2 weeks! hmmmm Wink

if anyone knows of it nearer to where i'm living it would be appreciated!
