patriotic flags (greek flags with cyprus inside ) are sold for 10 CYP each. ofcource they are sold more expensive, than any other flags. as always , there will always going to be some clever traders to take advantage of the sheep.
as far as i understood the police will not confiscate those flags but will attempt to confiscate any other nationalistic / insulting symbols...
lets see.... |

Police called on “Cypriot fans to turn up early for the game”, noting that the gates would open at 5.30pm and close at 8.30pm.
Yesterday, a police official said: “Apart from the usual checks that occur at the ground, we will also have strict entrances into the ground and items such as lighters, bottles, fireworks and flares will not be permitted into the stadium.
He added: “We will also not be allowing offensive flags and banners to be taken into the stadium by any supporters. People with no tickets will not be allowed to get into the ground at any time during the match.” |

Fairly safe it appeared on TV.
Also just heard a (Greek) Cypriot reported on TV, who spend the evening with the Turkish Cypriot fans that everything went well also all the way back the check points.
Seemed to have been a nice atmosphere on the field too. Turkish players helping the Cypriots stretch out when in cramp, etc. |

Perhaps that was a bit of an understatement.
I did not see any violent incident what so ever. |

Almost all advertising in the stadium was Turkish so it would have been a big surprise if it was not broadcasted... |
