In the major countries of western Europe, Firefox is most popular in Germany. In June, market researchers at WebSideStory found that the Mozilla Foundation's stand-alone Web browser has a 26.8 percent share of the market in Germany. Internet Explorer made up 65.04 percent of the market, with all other Web browsers (such as Safari, Opera, and Netscape, which were not itemized) collectively making up 8.16 percent. In their statistics, the market researchers also provide figures for France (Firefox 14.89%, Explorer 82.27%), Italy (Firefox 12.46%, Explorer 84.76%), Spain (Firefox 9.6%, Explorer 88.12%), and Great Britain (Firefox 8.82%, Explorer 88.78%).
