I cant wait until the 'Viva World Cup' it should spur proficient publicity for the football talent of North Cyprus, but hopefully it wont suffer political recriminations from the Republic of Cyprus.

i agree with what you've said, time will show the true colours.
everyone shoud b given a chance.
did u read about the fifi wild cup, north cyprus won, it is unfair Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus couldnt play monaco in a 'friendly' , fifa contradict themselves or shoould i say breach their own set statutes:
a couple extracts
FIFA objectives, Article 2, “to improve the game of football constantly and promote it globally in the light of its unifying, educational, cultural and humanitarian values, particularly through youth and development programmes”
and
FIFA against discrimination, Article 3, “Discrimination of any kind against a country, private person or groups of people on account of ethnic origin, gender, language, religion, politics or any other reason is strictly prohibited and punishable by suspension or expulsion.”

Do you know it was Greek Cypriots who complained about the match or was it Monaco who did not want to break the FIFA laws. Every time the 'Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus' is rejected in a sports tournament, the Greek Cypriot authorities are blamed but the fact of the matter is, the north of Cyprus is an occupied illegal state which makes it unable to enter it many sports tournaments.
So wat, do you think the Republic of Cyprus government has a special office tracking potential sports competitions where the 'Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus' might play???
If its so unfair, let Anorthosis return home instead of being a refugee club. |

Again, do you have any credible information on the Turkish Cypriot folk dancing incident in Spain?...or are you as short sighted as your other peers on this site and take everything written in the Turkish media as the truth??
Were the folk dances representing the Turkish Cypriot community or the 'Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus'? |

do u take everything written in the greek media as the truth, or even the british media or even the U.S media???
you seem to be portreying turkish people as people who are politically run by ideologies of the media, if that is the case credibility of the turkish media should seriously be investigated |

But Greece, Cyprus, the US and Great Britain are not states where journalists who go against the nationalistic grain go missing or a killed.
These countries, unike Turkey, do not have a system were a journalist is tried in court because they have offended the nationalism of their country of residency.
To say that the Greek media, the Cypriot media and the Turkish media are the same, just for the sake of it, is wrong and untrue.

Does this statement also include the situation with Tony angastiniotis who published the Voive of blood.
Strangely he has had to move to the north for his own safety and that of his family and what do you think of the Gov branding him a traitor because he wanted to write what he thought was the truth?
Is that not Censorship? |

Why do you keep stating the views of others that do not comply with you views as " Short sighted, Moronic etc etc",
Why can't you show the same respect that you are given?
If someone insults you then fair enough insult them back but if you have the mind of a sensible adult you will understand what i am saying! |

well actually now that u mention it an AMERICAN man was take to the supreme court in the US for burning the Flag of the US, even though in the US constitution, such an act is stated as an act of fredom of speech, because of the beliefs of THAT particular country, but the only reason he was taken to court was because he offended the nationalism of his country of residency and ORIGIN. |

What about the way Tony Angastiniodis has been persecuted for what he has written?
And that he has had to leave the south for his own safety? |

Didn't you know that Tony is a traitor, 100%cypriot? He got what he deserved for! Nobody should dare to talk about Turkish Cypriot sufferrings when 1/3 of Cyprus is still under "invasion", didn't you know that? |
