Cyprus Problem as Humor

G'day all,

First, I have to apologise from all of the fellow forum members for the posted links below are only in Turkish and they can not be translated!

The links are from the daily column of Hüseyin Çakmak, from the Avrupa/Afrika newspaper. What I link below are two episodes of the parody which he daily shares with his readers, mostly about the Cyprus problem. The two-episode parody is the story of Ferdi Sabit Soyer and Serdar Denktas talking over the phone about their plans how to keep Mustafa Akinci away from the government coalition, despite the mounting pressure on CTP from the pro-settlement voices in North (Father Denktas also makes an appearance in the story).

Although he almost always manages to come up with very funny stories, this one just cracked me up.

The originality of his column in Avrupa/Afrika (entitled Gappellari (Gapellari meaning "with a hat", from Greek I suppose) Fuat Amca) comes from the fact that he uses very strong Turkish Cypriot dialect. It is quite likely that people with no familiarity with the Cypriot dialect will not understand some words and find some words used in very different ways within sentence. Also, it is possible that the sentence order sounds weird.
