100% No we don't give up we JUST have wait for the EU to work it out in a civil and just manner! The Republic of Cyprus & Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are too corrupt for and solution!

The only person who did anything for Cyprus is Richard BLESS HIS SOUL Holbrooke!
By getting the USA to make sure Cyprus is put into the EU he has placed the BALL in Turkey court!
Yes Turkey will Bark and Bite and all that BULL! But hey will they do it to the EU?
Maybe BUT DO you really THINK that EU is worried about Turkey?????
Richard said the door for Turkey into the EU is via Cyprus! How True!

I just hope the EU will make the Republic of Cyprus understand that they may be the recognized country in the EU and the UN But it also represents everyone EQUALLY! But then the EU will make sure that the Republic of Cyprus see it THEIR WAY!
cheers and hang on!
PS Love you Richard!

Can you imagine a population of 12 million?

That is the future. Two hundred years from now where will we be; this is the thinking that we need.

Realisticly, we must look around us and see, firstly, what is normal, and then accept our sins, come out of this isolation, seek to become something better, which prepares us to be more inclusive, a dynamic part of a system which expands globally.

Whether Cyprus can be identifed as "Greek", and/or "Turkish", is not an issue which the world dwells on, rather it is an internal matter which we must resolve. Turkey, and its influence on our affairs is to be recognised. However, being a State, as great as it is, it cannot refuse to recognise the Republic of Cyprus if somehow its people choose to create a Constitution for their self representation, having with it the terms for the Turkish Army's disengagement, with an end to the occupation, hopefully an alliance which secures graeter stability for the region (and the world), as well as greater security for the Turkish State.

Cyprus is an island. It can be divided in many ways, but on it live Cypriots. To deny that is to ignore what Humanity is learning: we are all the same, no better than the trees or the ground we walk on.

That would be good if all Cypriots saw themselves EQUALL and not more superior than the other due to the religion they follow or the language that they speak

Anyway it's not up to the EU. It is up to the people of the island, and the people of the world (through the UN). Turkey will have a sense that they are secure, and unthreatened, the Republic of Cyprus will be recognized when this issue is met. Hopefully this region of the world will find stability while it sustains the diversity of its cultures by acts of grace, beyond this adversarial regime.

It is very sad that people will never learn from their mistakes but continually recite what has been drumed into their heads by their parents and friends .

Its now over 2 years since i started looking for a teacher to teach the kids but no-one wants to when they find out that i am Turkish Cypriot , they just say " we will get back to you "

You know what STUFF all of them for this continued RACISM

Keep pounding, softly. Ignorance is ignorance it is to be suffered, not dwelled upon.

Therefore be happy and know: 70 percent of Mankind are assholes, ten percent have the grace to be above the pale, ten percent are so bad you don't want to meet them, and then there is the ten percent who choose, who try to make things a little better.

I spoke with a Proffessor in history the other day and she said the problem in cyprus stems down to the fact that the G/C's are taught about the history of cyprus from years ago , which is not wrong ! but she said that G/C's and Greeks from greece still like to dwell on past history from the greek empire and that they only have that to keep them going and that is where the Racism of being far superior to others in the region goes , BUT and this was her quote " the Greeks live on the past but the Turks live in the present and the future and the Turks have now begun to By Pass the greek's in most thing's , " also she said that all of the Med and Eastern Europe , the people are all the same , not just by mindset , but by genetics , the Greek's and Turk's more than the other's , The Turk's and Greek's share some 13000 words in their languages .
