how come the colour of the forum is blue before it completely loads up and turns into green?
also is there anyone out there who wouldnt mind seeing a different colour. i understand why we probably shouldnt have blue or red or gold but maybe a little darker green would be nicer? |

The forum starts out blue because that is the 'default' colour of the forum. These defaults have been changed , but some parts of the forum work on graphic overlays to the basic colours, and untill these ovelays load the underlying defaul colour remains.
It is possible to set up differnt , user selectable, styles (colours) for the forum. However this does significantly increase the amount of 'maintenance' work required for the forum. Every time a modification is made, or the forum sw needs updating then this needs to be done seperately for each style supported. Given that it is a stuggle to maintain the site with just a single style I am reluctant to add new ones.
I am happy to discuss and have users vote on the existing colours. If YOU can get some sort of agreement amongst a reasonable number of users (vs those that object to change), then I will happliy apply whatever that 'group' decides on. |

I think the discussion we had when setting up the forum was extensive enough and members then decided for green. Apart from that imo the content counts and not whether its presented in green or pink.
Also I fully support Erols argumentation regarding the required amount of maintenance.
Sorry magikthrill. nothing personal
P.S. also the new banner has been designed to match the current set of colours. If we change the colour, the banner needs to be changed as well/again. |

This is what maks talkcyprus so different, its unique colours. I like the colour scheme here. Its a fresh look which doesn't hurt the eyes.
Also agree with Erolz about maintenence with having several templates. You can at times get a small clash between some scripts and some templates when modifications are added (been there, seen it, done it and cried about it). |

This is why I brought the topic just to see how everyone feels about it. If we're all happy then no need for a change that can be a hassle.
I don't mind the colour scheme that much only the dark green used in the bars. The rest is very nice actually but the dark green seems to overshadow the rest. Just my opinion |
