I want Italy to win.
One of my italian friends was giving me the low down on all the corruption charges against the team and he said that apparently, the reason why they played well is because the Italian courts said that they would gain legal amnesty if they won the world cup.
so...Forza Italia! |
This is very handy information, thanks CY.
*grabs her handbag and runs to the betting shop* |
Remember this, well thanks to CY I put a 9-1 bet that Italy would reach the final and I won......................90 quid to go shopping tomorrow..................heaven.
I owe you a drink CY. |
well done Marina!
I think the Italians give their very best as 13 of them probably will not know about their destiny on Monday, once the decision in the football scandal in Italy is made. If Juve and the others have to go down a few leagues they can certainly not keep those world class players. Hence they have to present themselves to other clubs....
btw, Good game last night. |

Last night's game was awesome all round... all players deserve credit, as does the Mexican referee who by and large left the game alone and allowed it to flow so well. One of the best international matches I've ever watched.
Commiserations to my German cousins, but Forza Italia... |

I still think the best game thus far was Brasil - France.
Also, I would say that this France - Portugal winner will end up being the World Cup winners but everything I've predicted thus far (including numerous $$$ bets) have gone down the drain so I wont say it |

i think that the last six games were all really bad. actually the good games in this tournament have been very few. all teams have become really good (defensivewise) , and it is hard anymore to differentiate different styles. football really became homoganised..
....
i mean i noticed that before, but i didnot want to post it so long germany was winning |

| Vive la France... I would love to see Zidane lift the trophy for the last time, as the greatest player of his generation he more than deserves it. |

Congratulations Italy... can't believe what Zidane did, it should be interesting to hear his reasons why... congratulations to Germany also for doing a fantastic job as hosts.
A little ironic that many of the Italian players could find themselves playing for Serie C clubs as of tomorrow... |
