To be accurate the decision to allow you to again participate in the forum, following your previous unacceptable behavior and attempts to continually sign up under new user names after having been suspended on others, was made by the admin / mod team as a whole and not myself individually.

Neither myself nor any in the admin / mod team are in the business of suppressing peoples views, no matter how abhorrent they may be to us as individuals. DA has been given one final chance to participate here within the forum rules. If he is once again unable to do that then no further chances will be afforded to him.

Digenis...It is good to be proud of your ethnic origins. And it is good to let others be proud of theirs, don't you think?
Tell me...are you a Greek from Greece? Or a Cypriot from a Greek background? And,are you proud of being a Cypriot as well?

...second that, Mr.B.

Dig, nice piece, and welcome.

I am a Greek from Cyprus, a Cypriot.

I am proud of being Cypriot as well.

Thanks for responding,Digenis.
I am a very proud Cypriot too,but my ethnic background is Turkish.
I have lived in exile since 1969. The reason for my exile is the inability of the Cypriots to put their differences aside, and totally embrace their nationality. We are Cypriots. I believe that should take precedent over everything else. If we all took our Cypriotness more seriously, and loved our country a bit more, and let history and anthropology books deal with our ethnic origins,Cyprus would be a much better place to live in. Don't you think?

I agree Bir. But it is Turks who claim cultural appropriation all the time not Greeks. I am simply pointing out that the vast, vast majority of Turkish culture is simply an Islamic continuation of Byzantine culture.
