The report by the BBC shows that Turkey is heading towards a brick wall very fast. Turkey really must make moves on Cyprus if she is to avoid a crisis towards the end of the year.
The US/UK is probably in the process of trying to get talks restarted sometime in the summer, but I doubt Papadopoulos will fall into the trap that he fell into last time in New York. Unless certain guarantees regarding the substance of the talks is set clearly before hand it would seem our side will not be willing to enter into negotiations for the sake of getting Turkey off the hook regarding her EU obligations. |

Hey the brick WALL was always there AND it was just a matter of time that Turkey would run out of bluffing and threats and hit this WALL BUT the WALL is not only Cyprus: Turkey has many WALLS and the sooner (When ever that happens) They realize that they can not avoid theses WALLS and that theses WALLS will not just disappear the sooner they will try to overcome there HUGE problems with the EU:
This EU Christian Club and we voted Yes to the Annan Plan is over and done with and the EU has realized this BUT has Turkey?
PS Turkeys 2ND Biggest WALL is their own Military!! Believe me that will be one bloody big WWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! |

Cyprus is a key to Turkey's foreign policy. She will turn that key so long as its need for defence is satisfied.
Does Turkey have a right of return issue anywhere else? It is a card which has been held with the hope originally, that the game would be won another way. |
