You see DP, you can't just say "Cypriots" because there are two different people on the island and therefor you have to identify them by calling them what they are, Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots.

I can say Cypriot anytime mate BUT will be ABLE understand because you only have Turk & Greek Cypriots in you brain:
I never look at any Cypriot living in Cyprus who respects fellow Cypriots as a Greek or Turk:
What they speak Eric and who they pray to is there own personal affairs and WHY should I brand them?
That includes any settlers who call themselves Cypriots:

Is that what they tell yeah?...Such thinking is laughable...Do you think Turkey invaded the Republic of Cyprus for the Turkish Cypriot protection?...If they did they would have restored the constitution and gotten out of it...Noting also that they resettled the place with mainland settlers...Just to make sure that the population is even...

They look like Cypriots,they walk (think,live,laugh) like Cypriots,and they talk like Cypriots...there is no confusion about their identity...they are Cypriots.
Some are Turkish Cypriots,some are Greek Cypriots...some are Muslims,others Orthodox Christians...They think they can't possibly live with each other in peace,harmony and respect for diversity...
And we think ducks are stupid..  |

VP who told you that the Greek Cypriots (all or the vast majority) suddenly discovered they are just Cypriots? This is mainly an idea promoted by the leftists and I must admit the leftists were always consistent and they do have a valid point which I share.

Doesn't it amuse you that the trend has increased and even on this forum there are members trying to convince one another they are just Cypriots and nothing else. All well and good to try and promote the idea of unity but isn't it really a matter of to little to late. People should have pursued this back in the 60s instead of hidden agendas we might not be in the position we are in today. |
