Have to say that I'm not that surprised. I've been to a few matches in Cyprus and it's like revisiting English football during the mid-1980s. Cypriot football rivalries go too far because they're either associated with politics or with town rivalries... it's about time people realised it's only a game.

Well, these are APOEL fans re, holding a flag with Cyprus being "embraced" by a Greek cross. It's supposed to provoke Turkish Cypriots and Turks, so I thought it would be funny in a dark way...
